FedEx/UPS

  • There are FedEx and UPS drop boxes located in the Main Lobby.
  • The FedEx drop box takes FedEx Express ONLY and picks up at 7:30PM, Monday through Friday.
  • The UPS drop box takes Worldwide Express, Next Day Air, and 2nd Day Air ONLY and picks up at 8:00PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Please note, any packages that are being shipped by services other than those listed above, will NOT be picked up unless a special pick up has been arranged between you and your carrier of choice.

The Messenger Center is responsible for facilitating the timely exchange of envelopes and packages between the tenants and external messenger companies as well as the daily delivery of United States Postal Service mail. The employees handle envelopes and small packages up to 20 lbs. Heavier items must be delivered through the dock.

Special Instructions
If your office is expecting an extremely urgent package, or if you need to communicate special handling instructions, please call the Messenger Center to notify its staff. This will facilitate a prompt and accurate delivery.

Undeliverable Items
If an internal messenger is unable to deliver an envelope or package because the tenant’s office is closed, the item will be returned to the Messenger Center. The Messenger Center will call the tenant and leave a message of the attempted delivery. The item will be redelivered promptly the following business morning.

Before/After Hours & Weekend Deliveries
For messenger deliveries that occur outside of Messenger Center hours, the outside messenger will go to the security officer in the lobby who will then call the tenant. If the tenant is in, the tenant will go to the lobby and retrieve the package from the messenger. If the tenant is not in, the guard will request the messenger to redeliver the package the following business day.

THE PROCESS

Outbound Deliveries

For envelopes and small packages leaving your office via local messenger:

  • Call your messenger company of choice and place your order as usual.
  • After you place the order, call the Messenger Center to advise them to pick up your envelope or package.
  • When calling the Messenger Center, please provide the following:
    • Your company name and suite number
    • Delivery address
    • Messenger company name
    • Order number
  • Your call will then be entered into the Messenger Center’s Order Entry System, which generates a tracking number.
  • The Center’s Supervisor will promptly dispatch an internal messenger to retrieve your package and return it to the Center.
  • Upon arrival, your outside messenger signs for and is given your package. The messenger’s name and time of receipt is entered into the Center’s Order Entry System.
  • All information is available to you upon your request.

Inbound Deliveries

For envelopes and small packages delivered to 600 West's Messenger Center:

  • The outside messenger will deliver the envelope or package directly to the Messenger Center, where a Center employee will sign for it and write the delivery time on the envelope or package.
  • The sender, recipient, messenger company, and time of receipt are entered into the Messenger Center’s Order Entry System, which generates a tracking number. The Messenger Center’s supervisor promptly dispatches an internal messenger to deliver the envelope or package to your office. Upon delivery to your office, the tenant is required to sign a delivery ticket/log.
  • The recipient’s name and time of delivery is entered into the Messenger Center’s Order Entry System. All information is available to you upon your request.
